Well, I fall into that 33.33% of luckless resis just staring at the motionless task bar on the log on screen. "SL may appear frozen". No - it appears dead. Hope the 36,242 currently in-world are enjoying themselves. Perhaps one of them would wander over to my place and water the plants, feed the dog, and so on.

SIGH

EDIT: 44.44% now

How about logging OUT!!

Now not being able to log in is a much worse problem than not being able to log out, and I have been able to log in in less than a minute most of the time.

But for quite some time now - I would say at least a couple of months - I haven't been able to actually log OUT of SL.

Sometimes I'll log out and go away for a while, and twice it has actually eventually logged me out.

But otherwise, no, it never does. I have to press the little windows key to get my desktop back up, then control/alt/delete out of LL, as it has stopped responding.

As I say, it's been this way for quite some time, since after an update sometime back there. I lose track of time as regards SL, so though it SEEMS like forever, it may not have been, lol.

It's taken me around 5 minutes to log in.. which right now is fine, considering I tend to remember my drink after I start SL up ;)

Of course, I finally made it in, only to find that my home sim had gone belly up for the second time this weekend. I rezzed butt naked, Xcite out, in a Welcome Area full of newbies.

We are not amused. (Okay, okay. You might be, but I'm not.)

ROFL! I'm amused. Funny thing is I got an email from a friend who just signed up, said that first thing he ran into was some ruthed av with a huge prim member. Maybe it was you!

Honestly, you would think there would be a way to NOT rezz people who can't get to their last or home location into a PG sim.

Logins have been very weird for me lately with varying time results. Sometimes I can login in about 30 seconds, but more often it seems like 5 minutes at the max. Sometimes I get a random error message and have to try again with it working on the second try. I dunno, it might be because I exclusively use the First Look viewer.

yay finally i'm in the majority somewhere 1-5 minutes for me woot!

actualy I think sometimes its longer because seeing as it takes so long I sometimes get up and go do something and forget that I logged in and return to the computer an hour later to see myself logged in :)

Logging in is only part of the issue.
With SL first look, it generally takes me 4 & half minutes from hitting the desktop SL icon to seeing the SL login screen. My maching is no slouch so I am surprised it takes so long. Does anyone else have this problem.

What is puzzling is why al of the sudden this log wait for logins? I remeber from the past the 25 min wait but i had a old system with a barely below spec computer. SO why this mess of drawout login wait? I bet its the ID bugs they are putting the files to track user movement......WHo knows. ALl i care about is FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
