First off, Cizk, and every other person new to this forum...before you start a new thread, please search and see if your topic has already been addressed, and read all the answers. Maybe you won't NEED to start a new one. I assure you, this topic has been covered several times already.

That being said, getting a job in SL is limited to a very few skills. I make my money inworld by DJing at and managing an exotic dancing club. These are two skills you probably don't have yet, and won't for a bit. Search the forums for pre-existing threads about DJing. Escorting has traditionally been a big money maker, but the RL downturn in the economy has taken a bite out of the big spenders in this market.

Dancing at a club..i.e, stripping..is a fairly dependable trade to ply, though it's not consistent and it takes a lot of time outlay to be successful at it. You also need to "emote" well, that is describe the actions your avatar would be performing, for the pleasure of the paying customers. I'd suggest visiting some clubs and becoming a paying customer yourself for a bit to get a taste of that. You'll need to be able to type and construct interesting sentences to do that, too.

You might also get a gig as a store model, but I can't tell you anything about how that pays, since I've never done it. I know a lot of stores use bots for this nowadays anyway.

The sad part about all these jobs is, you really need to have some cash on hand to even think about starting them. To be a DJ, you need to rent a stream, and to be an escort or model, you need to have an at least presentable, preferably well above-average looking avatar. Escorting, dancing and modeling are predominately (though not exclusively) female-avatar jobs.

Some clubs used to employ security guards, but I don't know if that's gone by the wayside or not. There's also camping and money trees (for noobs) but there's not very much money in that.
