Thanks for posting your specs...nice! I am looking to upgrade and it's nice to know you've encountered no problems with Vista.

I am running Vista Ultimate with an ATI 9800 PRO Graphics Card and the latest Beta drivers. These seem to be problematic and I can SL for about five minutes before I get a crash. Sporadically it takes the whole system with it. In other threads the ATI driver saga is explained in more detail. I would caution that as of this writing I would only get a Vista machine if it had an Nvidia graphics card.

Sounds typical for an ATI card...sorry Guess you'll have to wait for the new rev of VistaSL to come out. /111/98/163395/2.htmlI'm not sure what version is available right now...

Running Vista Ultamate 64. I didn't have any troubles installing or running SL. Looks great too.

I was pretty gung ho about Vista for about a week, but have since switched back to XP. I was getting BSOD's about twice a day, and sometimes I had to boot up twice to get a login screen. I'll probably wait for SP1 or some DX10 games (ie Crysis) before trying Vista again. I didn't have specific problems with SL on Vista other than much lower framerate compared to XP. It was night and day. Maybe nVidia has fixed the 8800 drivers by now though.

Just a little FYI. I have heard that if you are running a 32 bit OS there is really not much point in going above 3GB of memory. If I am wrong please feel free to correct me.

I get rainbow effects on some stuff in SL on my laptop. I don't have exact specs (I'll check them when I get in) its an nvidia 7950 gtx Go with 512mb of its own. The laptop has 2gb of memory, runs Vista as it came from the supplier, just windows updates.
So it's not all fine n dandy on nvidia, but it works well enough I guess.
