I picked up an expensive object in my home to go back into my inventory . well actually i clicked "take" on the object an nothing happens the object is still there . so i log an come back , see the object gone an look in my inventory an......its nowhere . not in lost an found , not in objects , not in the file it should be in . so i log an come back a couple more times an each time the object still is missing . so now what.......

Unfortunately, you probably kiss it goodbye. Do try clearing your cache and relogging, though...maybe you'll get lucky.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

stupid question: did you clear cache? *winces because she sounds like a cut & paste answer* sometimes that works for me between the 4+ hours yesterday, and the 6+ hours today they had connection issues (see blog), sad to say that your item may just be gone hope it isn't on a somewhat related note, 25% of my 10,000 items in inventory yesterday vanished. thin air. thankfully today they were back maybe it's just a matter of letting things settle down in your case, as well. hope so!

Check "returned items" and the trash.. and wait a day or so before you panic, sometimes processing slows to a crawl when SL is running poorly. Worst case scenario is that is has been eaten by the asset server....

seriously, days like these, don`t touch anything u don`t want to lose with rezzing or taking back
cache *might* work but i doubt it the prim has prolly turned into a ghost and is basicly lost
if the item isn`t to old, u could try to contact the creator for a new version after explaining maybe when the monkies get back from school and know where to stick the wires, it could return, but don`t put any hopes into it

From: Wiseguy Capra You can log into "Paradise Heights AG" been online since the grid came partially online and was more towards the entire downtime and issues with sl over the past weeks, LL forces us offline and not buy anything besides needed stuff

Alicia, don't know that the test will prove things are working. I was building and happily moving things in and out of inventory night before last, then a largish 'take' didn't work, item disappeared never to be seen again. Rezzed a cube after and took it just fine. Seems intermittent.
Fortunately I had been taking pieces all along, so came back yesterday night and did the final assembly again, no problem.
All items were full perms, so the disappearing trick is not just with nocopies, tho lol that's sure when you notice it the most!
