If I understand correctly, requests for new articles in the Knowledge Base, or submission of articles for inclusion in the Knowledge Base, are to be done now by filing a Knowledge Base ticket, which basic account holders are unable to do. Is that correct?

"There are a few issues that require submitting a ticket to Support in order to resolve. However, we cannot currently offer full ticketing access to Basic account holders who do not yet have accounts. For the following questions, you can log into the support system and Submit a Ticket using the "Special Questions - Basic account" Ticket type.
You should submit a ticket in this way if:
You are getting an error message that states you cannot log in from your location Your account has been disabled and you need it reactivated You need to report a region being offline You are an estate manager and need to request a rollback
When you're logged in as a Basic account holder and choose the "Submit a Ticket" option, you should only use the "Special Questions - Basic account" option in the Ticket Type drop-down menu. All tickets from Basic account holders that use other ticket options will be closed without review. "
------------------------- Apparently we can only submit tickets on those few issues. If we happen to notice some other problems and wish to help resolve it, our ticket will be "closed without review."

Charging people for the privilege of editing or creating the company's documentation. Isn't that... special?

Other than the few issues that require submitting a ticket to Support in order to resolve (Special Questions - Basic Account), basic account holders are to go to the Public Help Island for help.
There is a landmark in the Library Landmarks folder or just type in "Help Island" in the search box.

Since "Self Help" is considered a primary means of support for basic accounts, I'm sure they wouldn't mind adding an option in the "basic" are of the ticket system for kb requests/submissions. Remember, the current incarnation of the system is by no means set in stone.
