Personally when I search I tend to use the "ALL" unless im looking for something real specific, then I`ll use classifieds.
I noticed theres many who spend tens of thousands of linden dollars per week on a classified ad..Which is a few hundred USD....just to be at the top. Whereas under "ALL" you can spend only $30 a week, and with high traffic numbers, you can be in the top there.
I am looking into classifieds these days...
Does anyone in here have experience in paying to be at the top in classified search, and when you did, did you see an increase in traffic at your store and/or sales after being at the top of the classified list that justified the price you paid to be at the top?
specifically....
If you were already making hmmm lets say $200usd a day without a high paying classified ad, for example, that would be $1,400 a week you were making. If you took 2 days worth of your current income ($400 usd) and used that to pay for a classified and were then at the top..did you then see an income of more than your usuall $1400 a week with the lower paying classified?

most people tend to say its better to have a bunch of low paid classifieds 50-200 lindens then just one super duper expensive one and I tend to agree I have no idea if those 100k ads work. I question the sanity of people who place ads like that though..

LOL! I never understood it and thought, well if theyre paying *THAT* much is it just a huge risk, or are these people profiting largely from it?
When you say a ton of smaller ads, are you meaning the same ad for a certain shop or product? Or various ads for a shop/product wording different and different photos?

yeah different ads about different items etc and focusing on different keywords etc instead of one giant catch all ad that have 200000000 keywords and mean nothing really
as for are they making a profit well I hope so but they are probably not making a profit as a result of this one ad. I think if they spent like 1/10th of their money on 10 small ads for different products in their store they would make money either more or the same and save all that ad money to boot!
