A bug of sorts prevents me from giving modify permission to my planes, as I have CCC in my planes which I don't have modify permissions to. So when I take a copy, the modify permission for the next owner disappears.
Anyways, my planes have a feature where you can go into "kamikaze" mode and the first thing you hit will make the plane blow up into pieces. Unfortunately, someone who bought my plane can't get it to work, and says that an error message pops up saying that the plane can't delink due to lack of edit permissions.
The script askes the pilot for permissions to change the links, and a dialog box pops up requireing you to say yes to fly the plane. The customer confirmed that she sees the box and clicks yes, but the plane is still not delinking.
This script has worked with other people before. In fact, I saw this work perfectly yesterday with a friend of mine. What is going on now?

I think there may have been a change in the way permissions are checked after transferring a thing to a new agent.
You can override the "folded" no-modify permissions in your inventory by right-clicking the item there, and selecting "properties".
Hope this helps!

When I do right click on the item in the inventory, I only get the option to click "copy" Even then, when i give it to people, they say it's no copy. This is getting really frustrating.

He hasn't gotten back to me yet, but it looked like there was something in a child prim that had only transfer permissions, and it was that plus the no-mod on the CCC that was causing it to go screwy.

Looks like im gonna have to pull all my stuff of the market for now until this gets fixed. It's no good selling planes when a feature is defective...

I am having a very similar issue to this.
I am trying to use a purchased window tinting script that came to me with copy and transfer permissions, but no modify. The purpose of the script is to enable builders to use it in their own builds and to sell their houses to other people.
When I link the sections of the house, even after I have made sure that all of the prims I am linking have copy/modify/no transfer prims, and that the items in their inventories have the same permissions (except for the window tinting script), they function properly. I have tested this with an alt: the linked objects can be edited for texture/size/position/etc. jsut the way they should.
However, when I combine the linked objects into a box for sale, and set the permissions on the sale box to modify/copy/no transfer, then those permissions are changed when I take the box into inventory.
When I try to change the permissions on the box in inventroy, I too am offer only the option to make the box copiable (the modify and transfer options are greyed out). I also am unable to change the name of the box when it is in my inventory by right-clicking the box;ename" option is greyed out.
If I then make the box copiable by changing the permissions, it becomes no copy when I send it to an alt.
This is shutting me down too, until I figure out a work-around.
