hi all,
We try to sell our land, but will do this incl. objects. In the about land we set this options, and in the upper is the note "land will sell with 937 objects", but we tried and the object are not changing in buyers name. Somebody knows, what we do wrong?

It is group-owned land en the buyer was a member of the group, is that wrong maby?

Tnx Naomi

Maybe some of the items are non-transfer?

Hi Naomi,

When you sell land, and tick the box to include objects, they do not automatically change ownership when the land is sold. You need to do this manually with the new owner. Also bear in mind that some of you objects may be No Transfer, so they cannot be included in the sale, unless they are non-scripted, in which case you can just leave them there for the new owner to enjoy, but make sure you tick the box, Allow anyone to Move.

Thanks Rock, but how can you change the owner for the objects? You have to give each part to him/her? And then the new owner have to replace the object for her/himself?

Is the land you are selling owned by a group, and are the objects on the land in your name, or are they deeded to the group? It sounds like you are selling group-owned land (because you say "we";), but the objects on the land are not owned by the group, and this may be the problem.

I've sold land with objects on it lots of times (mainland only). Here is what I've found:

If I own the land, and all of the objects on the land, and they are transfer-enabled, they immediately change over to the new owner's name on the purchase. You don't have to do anything more.

If my group owns the land, and I own the objects on the land, and they are transfer-enabled, they DO NOT transfer to the new landowner on purchase.

If my group owns the land, and I deed the objects to the group before the land purchase, and they are transfer-enabled, they DO transfer to the new owner immediately on purchase.

Since the sale is already done, you could try setting each object for sale at $0 for the new landowner to buy - but as you may have seen in another thread, there is a bot that roams the grid in search of objects for sale and lists them on a website for people to search and buy. So if you do this, make arrangements to meet the new landowner on the land and do it while you both are present so your items don't get swooped.
