For those that are thinking of starting a new forum: there are those of who do not enjoy big garish animated smileys. They are very repetitive and poor substitutes for wit.

There are big garish animated smileys at both SLUniverse and SCII. The smiley display on the post editor at one of the SL related forums ( I think it si SLUniverse) is so big I don't enjoy writing a post - to many distracting faces flickering to the side of the edit box.

So, if you are thinking of creating a new forum, you might want to be the one that has doesn't have giant flashing bobbing spinning animated smileys.

My forum has the one I always need to use:

dunno why nobody else has that one...

I do have one large one but nobody uses it after the novelty wore off. Can't post it anywhere near LL though.

The huge array of smilies have always been a part of both SC and SLU tradition and many enjoy them. I think it a pity that that is all that may keep you away from either place as both forums have a lot to offer in their own way.

Come, meet the people. It's a certainty you won't like all of us, but also a certainty that the few you dislike will be over shadowed by the larger group of posters that you do on either forum in my experience.

Give it a shot I say. I'd be surprised if you all were not welcomed heartily at SLU or SC. Having said that, if you were like say Pip? They will keep an eye out for all that you post. /me chuckles.

Come on in, the water is fine.
