Ok, so now I come to learn I have been banned from CALLA... A HAIR place of all places.. I do not know the ppl personally.. So I could not have offended anyone. And when I attempt to contact the owners, they ignore me. I'm not surprised, as alot of time, ppl think its just easier to ignore someone then deal with a problem but, what really upsets me, is the fact that they can not take two mins out of thier time to let me kNOW what it is I have been accused of doing. So, YES, I am angry. I have spent ALOT of money there, and to repay me, they ban me, and ignore me. HMPH. If its what I think it is.. the only thing that has happend on SL.. then I am DOUBLY P.O'd as that had NOTHING to do with anyone, and if I'm being judged on that, then they should not be running a business. They should be in anger mangement.

Please keep matters like these in private, each land owner can ban whoever they want with or without reasons. Bringing it in public only generate drama

Maybe that's the idea.. if she can't get an answer in private, perhaps some public pressure might elicit one. You are correct that land owners have all the right in the world to ban someone for whatever reason they want (or even no reason at all!). However, people also have all the right in the world to ask why, complain about it, et cetera, too, even in public. Freedom, such a wonderful feeling.

...and similarly, everyone else has the freedom to post about how they don't care...
I'm interested if it provides some good public drama, personally speaking.

I'm not trying to make trouble or cause a fight. All I am saying is that they are acting extremely immature. I went there, I spent ALOT of money, PLUS I brought them ALOT of patrons, and to repay me, they ban me and they do not bother to reply. And it snot just me they are ignoring, I contacted a friend of mine that is actually friends with one of the ppl...and she was ignored as well. How is that a good way to run a busness?

Conversely (transversely?) the land owners might have muted her in a single ban/mute actiuon, and may have no idea she's trying to contact them.
The forums might be the only way she CAN contact them!

And if they do not see it themselves, then maybe, someone that reads this will be able to tell them I am. So then they can reach me here.... OR If it would please others, they COULD give them my email.. and that would make EVERYTHING private. anjelu@gmail.com Better?

Does naming a shop count as a violation of the ToS like naming a person does?

If someone banned me for no good reason, I'd go buy my hair someplace else. There would be no reason to try getting unbanned, as they'd not have my bussiness anymore.

I dunno. When I get blacklisted, dropped, or banned from someplace, I am often curious as to why. Maybe there is a lesson there for me to learn. Maybe there is a lesson there for them to learn. Without communication, it's just a dead line.

Morgana, are you sure they blacklisted you specifically? Sometimes business owners turn off access to their parcel whilst making modifications.

Better? Type out a POLITE Notecard stating date and time of your Ban, and asking for reasons. Then just drop it on them. Remember BE Polite You Should assume that they MAY be unaware that you have been trying to contact them at all, so treat this as a First enquirey. Angel.

Because of the copybot, anyone can be a suspect. Perhaps everyone is banned from the shop at the moment? perhaps they were copied, and are closed, trying to figure out what to do about it?

Yes I am possitive luv, I had three others that I had brought to them, go there, and they were able to go without problem. I even brought them business while going through this. So, to me, they are acting extremely immature about all of this.

Morgana- Businesses reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, they're under no obligation to explain why, even if it's bad for business. Whether it's an error they're stubbornly refusing to re-evaluate... or some legitimate reason they feel justified in banning you, it no longer matters... You are unlikely to ever find out why, and are probably mad enough at this business owner not to shop there in the future. Even if they did explain, chances are extremely high that the result would be angry arguing and yet more hurt feelings, and still no guarantee of really understanding why you were banned. Move on... shop elsewhere, blow it off. If you continue to obsess over the motives of people you've never met, you'll end up needing therapy! -- Pro-Kharma Anti-Drama.

From: Morgana Hilra How is that a good way to run a busness? I've not bothered to read the thread past the first few posts. I just want to reply to the OP here. To be perfectly frank, not everyone is good at running a business. Here's a related anecdote: last week I TP'd to the location in an ad I saw, and got frozen by the landowner for trespassing in her home (it was a combination home/store.) Is that an intelligent way to run a business? Nope, so I never went back. In essense, you are complaining that life isn't always fair. Nope, no it isn't. So what?

I'ld like to reply to the OP myself.
Are you sure that you are really banned? Sl has been having some issues of late involving tp'ing and it failing for odd reasons. Linden claims today that this issue (ahem) has been fixed.
On one sim border crossing i attempted, it failed claiming that i was not allowed on the parcel because i had been banned. EXCEPT... the parcel in question was a linden road.
If you got one of these "ban" errors, go to "edit land" for the parcel in question. You do not need to be on the land... merely right click the land. Check the ban list. Is your name on it? If not, this was related to the grid issues and the reason the parcel owners haven't replied would be [1] they haven't gotten your IM yet (maybe they are in a diff time zone like Europe or Australia as opposed to the US... and they will be on later, or [2] they have no idea what you are talking about, because they didn't ban you.
I have a hunch that your "ban" is really the grid issue rearing it's head again.
Other possible explanations: -- Some automated security systems are buggy and ban for no reason. I once tp'd into a casino and was waiting for the world to rez when i got a warning that I was banned and needed to leave. I ran for the parcel border and was ejected before i reached it. No one was there but me. I contacted the parcel owner who told me it was her new security system and that it had done the same thing to others. (she subsequently removed it). -- Overly protective co-owner. One mall I shop at occassionally banned me for leaving an unpacked box (I was distracted and forgot about it, honest). Actually, it was just one of the owners. The others were quite understanding and removed the ban.
