err the country number to dial to north america is 1 in front of the 800 etc its probably an issue of country code etc. dial it as if you are dialining someone in the USA and you should hopefully get through? I doubt that wil be toll free though as toll free numbers are limited er wait that looks like a uk number ignore me .. sorry

The UK number DOES work

I've used it twice now. You have to use both zeros. You won't necessarily speak to someone in the UK but it is a UK freephone number.
Incidentally, the first time I rang I spoke to someone based in the UK and the second time an agent in Canada. This being the case, why is the line manned only during LL office hours? It seems to me that if LL has support staff around the globe, they could manage support around the clock.

The UK number works fine... 00800 is an international freecall - not to be confused with domestic UK 0800 numbers, which only have one zero on the front. Key the number exactly as show - both zeroes - and you'll be fine.
(unless you're on some kind of whacky mobile service provider which doesn't let you call 00800 numbers for free - it works OK from a BT landline)
