My Best Freind just lost 3 sections of the sim build were putting together

She made folders, "took" the prims, then moved them from the object folder to the named folders, repeat. Mainly linked up objects. She didnt lift as a group.

The Objects were in the folders she checked , and then logged off.

Upon logging back on the folders were all empty.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so do you know what cuases it/ and if these builds will turn up soon?

Its a fair amount of Lindens now, and a lot of lost time.

Thank you for any help

It's been happening to a number of people, usually with purchases. It either vanishes after a tp, or after a relog, but it did show up in their inventory right after buying/taking which makes it all the more odd :(.

Clearing cache and relogging is always the first thing to try since it will refetch the entire inventory fresh.

Other than that leave the folders alone (don't delete them, even if they're empty) and wait. Some people have it turn back up in 12-48 hours.

Last resort is filing a bug report under Missing Content with a somewhat detailed description of what happened, where it happened, what folder things went into, etc and possibly follow up with an email to support, although I don't know if that's actually useful or not.

(Edited to add that if you were building on a private sim, a rollback may be an option as well, depending)

Lost inventory failed given items after logging off or during tp are a be concern now. The problem is getting worse with items that have been given being lost.....LLabs does is held responible for such loses.... It should be since its their asset servers that are fouling up. :(

Rollback IF there was no server save items will NOT be recovered. roll backs don`t always mean you get your item recovered.

I am sorry to hear that you had problems Usagi

Still no luck on items and no response from LL support.

Is this cuased by heavy database load?

Should we not work picking up items when SL is over 30k residents online?

This is really an unworkable problem. Many of the items were not replacable.
