L$/sq. mainland rate good price...

Well just a question but...

what best rate do you advise me in buying a mainland L$/sq. rate for an 512 area land ?

Well, anything under L$10/m2 is pretty good, the closer to 9 the better these days.

Personally, though, I don't see the point to buying a 512 for the lowest possible price. I want some reason to buy where I buy. It might be to be in a certain neighborhood, to have a certain view, to be next to water, to be on a volcano, to be in a relatively lag-free and club-free sim, or to be adjacent to a Linden-owned right-of-way. I usually end up paying closer to L$14/m2 for land I actually want to homestead on; and if I set a price on what it would take to get me to move along (typically closer to L$30/m2) I am almost always surprised to find my home sold out from under me much sooner than I would have expected.

People are always going to tell you you got ripped off. Just find a place that is worth to you what you'll have to pay for it, and remember it's what you want.

Location is everything. Neighbors who don't create ugliness and lag around your land is good. Having ocean-front is nice if you want assurance that you are not boxed in. It is a good idea to choose something with re-sale value, should you find that you do not like it after you buy it.

Though I'm sure you're looking for 512 mainland for your tier break, I personally like the idea of shopping around the private sims to find owners who will help you if you need it.

Location means nothing, buy the cheapest land in the search you can make your own water make your own beach make your own whatever you want dont pay more just cuz its next to 'fake' water you can build that yourself

most often the cheapest land is the land in the newest sims and your naybers will change everyday day.

just cuz there is a huge club that no one ever went to and a empty casino next door don't let that stop you from gettin a good deal

Never Ever PAY for land on a private island, there are over 500 sims owned by one person who will rent you anysize you want, for tier equal to what you would pay to LL on the mainland and they NEVER charge a cent to move in. its rental land anyway and you can never really 'own' on a private island anyway so do not pay for that land, its free just rent the tier

We all look for different things when we buy land, as reflected in previous posts. Here is my take on it.

1. Find something you like and remember no matter what youpaid for it, someone will tell you paid too much.

2. Personally, I buy land for my own enjoyment and don't really care about re-sale value.

3. There are certain danger signs, which I try to avoid.
A. 16 m add farms. I won't buy ANYWHERE near on of these monstrosities.
B. Any place that has lots of campers. lag lag and more lag.
C. Casinos

personally, i buy land next to 16m plots for my stores, cuz the land is cheaper for the most part. i put up walls so ppl cant see the spam ad;s and ppl wont buy spam blocks that are all walled in anyway that no one can see so 1) i get cheaper land 2) spam blocks don't get resold and the owner has to eat the cost and tier 3) i can use the spam blocks as buffer so ppl dont build much next to me 4) its very rare that spam block owners complain to me about my prims overlapping onto there land
