How to reinstate/reactivate a disbanded group

Well, newb that I am >chortle< I made a group so I could have my own neat title and it auto-disbanded from time-out because I was the only member. I want to know, how can I reactivate the group? I tried to re-create the group and it said the name was taken, but it doesn't show up on searches.

The group name is Torment by the way.

Anyhoo, I did read K-Base first and it appears that it doesn't address this.

I don't believe you can. You'll have to form a new group, with a new group name. It can have the same member titles though. This time, make sure you have at least two members in the group, so it doesn't delete itself.

You could always call LL customer service and beg for forgiveness. I got a plot of land back in my noob days because I deeded it to a group with just one member.

In order to avoid Losing a group you wish to Keep active, and retain ownership of, Create an Alt, Form the group, and make your Alt the second member (Officer also if you prefer). That way you will ALWAYS meet the Two member Minimun, No matter How Many members exit the group.

Yes, I know that now obviously. SL doesn't seem to mention that in-world when you're making a group. But, has anyone been able to reactivate a group?

BTW, I didn't deed land or do anything stupid like that. I'd just like to reactivate the group.

You'd think if you can't start a new group that SL wouldn't be dumb enough to reserve a name of a dead group. What if say, I started a Nike group, then it got auto-disbanded, then Nike wouldn't be able to start that group when they came into world. Of course, I'm sure someone would bend over backwards for Nike (woooooo) but, whatever.

BTW, Nike was just used as an example, I don't know or care if they have a group or presence in SL.

You can't reactivate a group that has been lost. Once it is gone, it is gone forever. I know firsthand that this is the case. I was told that the reasoning behind this policy was to protect the reputation of the original group and members. I understand the reasoning behind not allowing someone else to use the same group name, but not the ban on reactivation.

Sorry, but the best you can do is create a group with a name that is really close to the original.
