I am having a terrible time. Yesterday SL experienced a number of problems. I was Logged on in the middle of a mountain. I have tried everything to have a normal SL experience but now as night progresses I am not even being connected to my region - it states "Cannot Connect to Region". I am fully paid up (40 bucks a month) but am unable to log on. I have downloaded new systems and even the beta system but have been unable to log in - please, please advise - yes I have contacted Support but as yet no reply.
What can I do? Please someone help me - Jig Chippewa.

What are your system specifications? How much ram, speed of processor, type of video card, that sort of stuff.

What type of internet service?

Wired or wireless network?

Have you cleared your cache?

Have you done an uninstall and then reinstalled?

Have you tried logging in at a different location? If you don't see a place at the bottom left to set a start location, go to preferences and set a different location in the General tab, and check the Show Start Location of Login Screen box.

Are you sure it's not a problem caused by an anti-virus program? Try starting SL with your anti-virus program disabled.

Might your router be blocking a port? The knowledgebase has a section on dealing with port problems.

A recent client update announced it might require adjustments to firewall settings.
I was lucky but mebbe yours could be blocking. You may need to 'allow' secondlife.com. or whatever the server addresses are.

We suggested the login to different region trick in another one of your posts. Have you tried it yet?
Before you press connect, press preferences ,and either set it to log in to home, or type in another location

Also on another thread you mentioned an attatchment problem ?
IF you think a malicious attatchment is driving you under the ground (unlikely but its possible), remove all attatchments when you get in by right clicking on yourself and select detatch all.
