I completed a sell order of an amount of linden dollars a few days ago, and then proceeded to process the credit to my Paypal account. Currently, my account history hasn't changed since that moment and is just saying theres a "payout request" with a number assigned to it (and also the amount of US$). Presumably these requests are handled on a scheduled basis rather than instantly, as no monies have appeared in my Paypal account yet. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for a Payout Request to be actioned (on average or something?) Thanks in advance.. I'm trying to cash in on the good Pound/Dollar exchange rate at the moment (good if you're a brit anyway )

According to the process credit page, Pay Pal transfers take "0-5 business days" and "Business days are Monday through Friday, PST. Please note that holidays affect the processing time."

It's generally taking the full 5 business days right now, to go from "Sell those L$!" to "I have money in my PayPal account. Yay!". So if you sell L$ and send it to PayPal on a Tuesday, expect it will be the following Tuesday before you see the cash in your PayPal account.

I have never had a LL paypal credit process complete in the 5 day window. typically it's 8-10 business days.
I don't know why it takes LL so long to process. I asked this question numerous times on the Linden Answers forum, which of course was totally ignored.
My guess is that it's done manually by the same guy that returns voice mails for support.....

Maybe processing is still taking even longer than usual.. blog entry from last week:
Minor delay in processing account credits Tuesday, January 16th, 2007 at 5:09 PM PST by: Zee Linden
LindeX checks that were requested in the past few days and for the next few days may take a bit longer than usual. We are in the process of upgrading our back end system to automate this process and speed it up. During the transition, however, we’ve had to put a temporary hold on check requests. Everything should be back to normal next week.

They've been pretty good at hitting within the 5 business days and lately seem to be getting better.

Interestingly, this morning I got a payment that I requested on Monday. That's unusually fast, and neither did I notice any delay as per the notice Don posted. The request I made 1/16 was payed yesterday, 5 business days.

My first pay out
02-06-2007 08:26
Yesterday I requested my first 'process credit' (payment to paypal) transaction, and have been trying to find this info since, off and on, while constantly checking the status...now I can relax and wait the 4 more days...thanks!
ps, I realise it could be longer

On two subsequent days, I sold 2 parcels of land and transfered the $L to my Paypal each day. The first transfer took a full week and the second transfer only took a day!

The payout times are not only faster, they've become wildly inconsistent. Last week payment took 4 days to process; then yesterday afternoon I put in a payment request, and the money hit paypal at midnight. wowsa
