It's not up yet..the grid is down until 12 Noon SL time. Once the Monkeys are done banging (On things, not each other) the new viewer will be up.

I've noticed in the past that the new viewer generally comes available about 20 minutes or so before the grid is scheduled to reopen.

The official release of 1.16 is not unvailable , but u can try using beta grid with the latest beta viewer:

I'm pretty sure I read a Linden comment to the effect that they don't release the new viewer for download until they are certain the upgrade is working correctly and has had some successful tests.

That way, if they did discover some fatal bug and had to back out the upgrade and return things to the previous version, everybody still has the correct viewer installed. Otherwise, we'd all be downloading and installing the new viewer at 7am SLT and if the upgrade didn't go through, we'd all have to download and install the old viewer again.

So I take it as a sign, when the new viewer is available for download, it means the update has worked and passed their tests.

It's the 1.15.1 (3) that is re-installed. It's not the 1.16

Urgh..I gave up on going to the beta grid....20 mins. waiting and still counting. Wanted to test drive the new version...:(

youre better off manually downloading from the website.
