Account with negative balance?

How can my account have a negative balance? My account shows a -$15US balance in red print. How is this possible, My account history shows that they never billed my card on the 17th for my land tier...why have I not recieved an e-mail if the transaction failed?

Anyone else with billing problems this month?

I'm a little concerned that I could loose my land because of this.

It happend to me too. I never got an email either. It seems my whole billing info was wiped. What i did was to sell lindens to cover the -195 and then i sorted the billing after.

If you have a recurring cost for example a Classified ad or listing of your land in Search, it will continue to charge you I think beyond the point where you have 0L.

You can force LL to bill your credit card when you have a negative balance by buying some lindens on Lindex - just a $1 USD purchase will do the trick.

Being short of L$ will never trigger a negative US$ balance.

I've had this a couple of times - the first time when the PayPal billing went all awry; it eventually sorted itself when they got the PayPal thing resolved. Another time i was able to sell Lindens to cover it. Never got an email or had any problems with land.

My SL/RL partner had the same problem this morning and just reentered the cc info...
I on the other hand had the correct amount of "0" there, but when checking my cc it said there was none on file? The account summary page still said cc type "Visa", but when I go to "update/change CC", it says none on file...I reentered it as well, it went from "pending" to "Visa" again, but it STILL says on the other page "no cc info"!! And although I got the billing email on the 18th, as I always do, they have not yet charged my credit card- in fact they haven't charged anything since May 15.

What's with all that?

kay, soit apparently just takes a while for billing to transfer stuff to the card company...
I just had my first experience with support, by sending in one of them support ticket emails...and I couldn't believe it. Within 2 hours, a real person answered, we actually mailed back and forth, and we got the problem solved...

So billing siad if I can buy Linden$ and my account summary says I have a cc, everything is okay and I can ignor ethe other message. And, incidentally, it has switched back to "normal" now, so it was just a little hiccup.

So, for a first experience with the oh-so-bad support...that went perfect.

I noticed one day (maybe a month ago?) that me, my wife, and my daughter all had negative balances. To this day we have no idea why, there never was any explanation whatsoever. Come to think of it, there was never any notice sent to us that we were in the negative, my wife happened to notice when looking at her daily transactions.

I have no idea how long we had a negative balance, but we did not lose anything and our accounts don't seem to have penalized.

Well I've come across this problem when I've been close to 0L and the only expense I've had is definitely a classified ad. I don't know if it continues to charge you negative or not, but what I found was say I had 10L, I would end up at -20L (for a 30L ad).

Well I have plenty of $L's but don't want to spend them on my tier. I actually got this back from billing today...

I re-entered my card info and it still can't charge it...I now have a big problem because this is the only card I have...

I think I need to call my bank and see if they've blocked them...I just don't know what name it shows up as on my bill...is it LL billing our cards or something else?

It should show up as Linden labs...at least it does on my bill.
