"If you feel this to be an error, please contact support@secondlife.com"

OK done that. I'll ignore the fact that I probably won't get a reply (except automated) for a while, if at all....

But seriously....cannot be accessed from this computer? It was this morning - nothing's changed!!

Anyone know any tips for bypassing this bug? Last time it happened to me it got better after a few attempts but this time it's not shifting.

OK....I'll go back to surfing ol' 2D web then : /

Leo, does anyone else have access to your account, maybe using it for griefing while you weren't watching? YOU haven't had an Abuse Report sent in on you, have you?

I've never received this message, but my understanding is this is the message you get when your account is blocked. Your only hope is Linden support if that's the case.

Problem over

No, no-one has access to this account....the thought did cross my mind that I've been somehow banned (without doing anything worthy of it, naturally) but I wasn't sent any email from LL and the police blotter didn't mention any sim I had been in. I also understand when you're banned you go to some kind of cornfield???

AAAANYWAY....seems it was a temporary glitch of some sort. I managed to log into the Beta grid for a bit and got bored and logged out. Then tried logging into the Main grid again and it was fine.

Wierd, just like last time it fixed itself. Has anyone else had this experience?

The link escapes me for now, by it has been mentioned before here in the forum.

So this seems to be a known bug, which usually goes away on its own eventually.

Your windows firewall?

When windows updates it sometimes likes to enable the firewall, try disabling it (and any other internet 'security' suites you may have)

Yeah, I've had this error message a couple of times in the past, it's nothing to worry about.

Just send an email to the address it gives you and it'll be sorted out in no time :)

yes I had a guy adamant he was banned from SL because of this message nothing we told him would change his mind and we suggested he send an email (have no idea if he did). Not the fact that he was in second life accessing it from a computer that would let him access it or the fact that you could find his name in the userbase among other things. I have no idea what causes this blocked ports? in any event I guess they can fix it at LL so it must be a port thingy and they unblock it or something?

Yeah i'm realy technical sometimes (I know what i mean but does the rest of the world?)
