A comedian (I've forgotten which) once siad that:
"Being a parent is wanting to both strangle and hug your kid at the same time."

I love SL and do thank LL for all the hard work they do, but I also jsut want to slap them silly when they do something boneheaded.

Does this mean we, the Residents, are the parents of LL?

If so, can we send them to the corner for a time out?

Dude, you are a true and good friend, and I love you like the brother that my mom claims she never had, but you are in fact acting like a flaming douche on white toast with a side order of dickknob salsa..maybe you should reconsider this course of action and we go find something else to do.

I think of them more as parents. We live in their house, chafe under their rules and wish we could go live somewhere else, but have nowhere else to go.

I hated the corner. It's such a bovine punishment.

It does make a lot of sense. They never tell us what they are up to and never listen to us even though we know better what is good for SL and its users. :D

They are too busy making money and don't have the time to be with us, so they feel we can't make our own minds up. I figure they will soon be sending us off to "Prep School" so someone else can look after us.

Then it's time to don a wife-beater, and lock the little b*st*rds in the closet while we go on a violent, drunken, home-wrecking spree.

Maybe....just maybe...we'll get lucky, and the little morons will be emotionally traumatized enough to put the d*mned toaster back together properly.

Oh....I think they've been slipping us a slow, subtle poison for *quite* some time, now.

There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

We could always tell them to go play in traffic, or spank em with a hairbrush (trust me, that one hurts) or make them sit at the table for 2 hours after everyone else is done until they finally finish their lima beans... ;)

And try to make up for it by giving us big shiny ones we don't want.
