I probably missed this in my often cursory reads of the blog, but I was wondering if the weather functions llCloud, llWind, etc, will be maintained after the full implementation of Windlight skies?
I ask because I'm about to undertake a multi sim ecosystem building project that relies on things like wind, cloud cover, etc to govern microorganism growth rates and dispersion of atmospheric gases across the sim. If these are disabled I'll need to know and implement them myself somehow using some kind of cellular automata.
Thanks in advance, if anyone has the answer!

Lucifitias,
Your post prompted me, although this is somewhat OT...
Where can one go to learn more about constructing an ecosystem in SL? Not that I'm likely to do it anytime soon -- just building something that LOOKS like an attractive natual setting is still beyond me, let alone a whole set of stuff that ACTS like nature.
But I'm curious!

The wind and the sun position, and the rest of the weather functions should be staying. But if you do use the llCloud, be sure to note this little bit I found on a wiki: From: someone The client attempts to render clouds from the cloud algorithm results sent from the server, which is why different clients can see different cloud formations and de-synchronises cloud view from the server over time.

But I'm curious! IM me in world, and I'll show you a few. Second Nature 3 is my latest construction.
