Just tried to tp to Help Island - Public, where I like to help out the mentors from time to time. Couldn't; "location not found." Did a Places search for Help Island. One hit came up. Went there. Guess what?
Found myself on an edition of Orientation Island! Complete with a newbie looking puzzled, and that infernal parrot, and instructions on things like how to move.!
LL better fix this before some griefers discover it and start having a field day among brand-new before-birth newbie people who have no idea what is happening to them.

like ssome form of media or something *looks from side to side to see if anyone is in her perefrial vision then points quickly * there is one now!!!
seriously though anti griefers will show up and save the day..they always do..it keeps them in practice hehehe

Perhaps you were on Orientation Island Public, adjacent to where Help Island Public is supposed to be, which would mean that it wouldn't be brand spanking new n00bs around.

um..if griefers didn't know about orientation island till now i'd be extremely impressed. When newbies appear in world if help island public is full they'll goto orientation island public. From there its some other area just open up your map and look for info markers  As for searching for help island and not finding anything cept orientation island that's not the end of the world ^^ (but it should be fixed hehe)

It would seem they haven't updated it to match the new, more complicated OI. Maybe I'll cruise by there tonight just for fun and reminiscing. Thinking about that first day where I flew and crashed into the ocean, only to find I could breathe underwater. /me thought "Yeah, I'm gonna like this place..."  |

The parrot isn't on the current OIs so it sounds like you ended up on Orientation Island Public  . The regular OIs are restricted to new residents (until they leave), although both mentors and (ex-)helpers can tp to there to help out. |

I'm sure griefers know all about this place, since its a stone's throw from one of the Welcome Areas and its been there at least a year.
