This week's Book of the Week, being read on UK's BBC Radio 4, is Second Lives, by Tim Guest, who has spent some time touring virtual worlds.
This morning's reading was about his experience with Second Life, which he had joined with a self-resembling avatar but obviously with a different name.
Look at the BBC Radio4 website and find 'Book of the Week' if you want to listen to it while making adjustments to your latest build or whatever. It is on all week but whether it's all about SL we'll have to wait.
....Drat! There goes my chance of doing the story of my time in SL, for a few years, at least.!!!!!!
