I am not quite sure I understand how I suddenly have a negative USD balance on my account screen...

My Paypal account is linked to SL and have never had this happen before - I double checked the settings and nothing has changed.

Any ideas why this would happen?

Try renewing your paypal agreement. Or, if you want, I have been told that if you buy lindens from the exchange, it will correct itself also. If the amount is over $25 you can also manually add the money from your paypal account.

Basically, something went wrong when LL tried to process your payment.

Thank you for that Dnate.

Renewing my agreement seems to have fixed the issue.

Kind regards

I also unexpectedly have a negative balance, apparently because my credit card company wanted my authorisation because I've upgraded from 3-monthly payment to annual. That is now sorted but I still can't pay it off because the 'increase credit' page on my SL account is unable to process it. I have checked CC details and all is still correct.

I'm worried that if I can't pay off this debt (which I WANT to pay and am perfectly able to pay), I'll get banned from SL or returned to basic status and lose my home!

Conifer, you may want to get in touch with Billings and see what bee is in their bonnet.

Also, some CC's seem to need *constant* approvals for anything from LL because LL has been deemed a potential fraud.

Conifer, my bank had blocked payment to LL due to the bank they use for billing being flagged as having a high incidence of fraud...I had to ask them to temporarily remove the flag and will probably have to do so every month. Apparently LL just switched banks this month to one based in the UK.

Also you can try deleting your payment info, clearing your cache, deleting all cookies and temp files on your computer and then re-entering your payment info. That works for some.

Yes, and watch your CC carefully. Mine suddenly charged me an additional $17 fee for "Forein currency charge" now that it's being billed in pounds instead of dolalrs. I'm getting hit with an exchage fee. Now I have to change CCs or switch to paypal or something THANKS A LOT LL!

I mean WTH? THey can't bill Americans from an American bank? What kind of shadey is that?

Well, my acount has negative US$-balance as well now because they tried to take the land-fee from my creditcard which was not possible.

I have my payment method into Paypal (which is funded lol).

but, what happens now ......?
Does SL try to cash the money again or do I need to take action myself?

Ron, I believe that you should pay your debt out depositing money into your account (USD 25 minimum).
