Group Land

I've scanned the knowledge base and other related threads and can't find the answer to my question. so here goes:

I just bought a sim and I want to deed it to a group -- that's easy enough. However, how can I prevent members of the group from selling the land out from under me? Do I have to be the group founder and only allow myself to sell the land under the member roles tab in the group? (I'm not the founder and don't really want to disband the group just to remake it with me as emperor...)

Appreciate whatever advice you all have!

There is a specific group role that allows selling the land. Reserve that role only for the owner. (You)

It's also advisable to remove the "Pay Liabilities" permission from everyone but the owner. Otherwise, if you sell te land, all members with "Pay Liabilities" checked get an even split of the land sale proceeds!

I set up land groups so the "Everyone" role has almost no permissions at all. Then I set up a "Residents" role, that allows setting home there and other neded functions for living there, and other roles as needed. (Terraform/landscape is probably only needed by very few people).

(Note: I am presuming that though you did not found the group, you do own it and can set the role permissions. If this is not the case, then you can't protect yourself from someone who has the "sell group land" permission.)
