I just leased a house. The transaction was confirmed but I have no note about its location. I am at the house now. How do I find it easily when I want to come back? Please help!

go to the WORLD tab and scroll down to CREATE LANDMARK HERE. It will pop up on the screen. After you remove it from the screen or use it, it will be in your LANDMARKS folder.

I think he might be renting because he isn't premium.
If he isn't premium he can't "set home to here".
If this is the case, the above set landmark option still works, but i would add to rename the landmark to have a ! at the begining so it comes first in the list.

Non-premiums can "set home here" if they belong to a group, and are on land deeded to that group (not just "set" to the group), and the group permissions allow members to "set home to here" on group land.

Most of the capable landlords have their resident groups set up to allow this, so once a new resident joins the group they will be able to set their home location there.

If you can't, try asking your landlord if they have the group set to allow it.

As Ava says, I would ask your landlord. I am not premium, and have leased two different parcels while getting used to land issues, and in both cases was easily able to "set home to here".

But in both cases, I had to belong to a group for residents of that landlord's properties, not just to set HOME but also to be able to modify the parcel and set up a house and objects. You also have to have that residents group tag active anytime you want to do anything affecting the land such as setting HOME or rearranging items on your lot.

I didn't know this and it caused me some confusions when everything I tried to set up, would mysteriously vanish 2 minutes after I rez'd it.

If you just leased it, you might check history to see if you received a notecard with instructions on how to use your property, including how to find and join the proper group. Be sure to read the ENTIRE card. I know as a newb I get inundated with cards and usually just accept without reading every one, so you might have to go digging thru inventory to find the card. Knowing the name of the card makes it much easier to find using search. Sometimes clicking on the rental sign that now shows you are the lease holder, will give you a new card with the information.

Otherwise your landlord will probably be happy to send you a new card with instructions on how to use your new parcel. Again read it ALL as there is often very critical information and you are assumed to know and agree to all of it whether you actually read the card or not.

Non premiums can also "own" land on an island where they rent (I do) and can therefore set home. I have full land rights.
