Every time I've tried to log in over the last 3 days it's froze on connecting to region. I've tried re-installing second life, I've tried logging in at a different location and even did a system restore on my computer but I'm still getting the same thing. I tried to e-mail support yesterday who gave me a reference number and said they'd send me a confirmation e-mail but I've still heard nothing. Any suggestions?

Do you have a router and/or modem of some sort attached to the computer? If so, try rebooting/reseting them, to see if that might help. You done the 'rinse and repeat,' so that's the only thing I can think of to try.

Same damn problem here!!!!!

I am having the very same issue!!!!!!! I have tried everything I know to fix this problem including updating my driver, Restoring my puter, running my AVG, Lavasoft, WIse Registry fix, defragging, logging in at different locations, defragging and pulling my hair out! And, it is taking it's toal on my relationship with my male friend in game!!! He is fed up with my having this problem so
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME< SOMEONE< ANYONE, before I lose him. He means the world to me but this is just so hard to explain and is so damn frustrating!!!!!!

I NEED HELP NOW, PLEASE!!!!

AND, the game keeps locking up on me to where I'm in game, cannot move, cannot type in chat nor IM's!!!!! He thinks I'm not answering him and ignoring him and I'm most certainly NOT!!

PLEASE, PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

Fairmaiden: there are many ways available to maintaining your relationship with your male friend. use emails or im (yahoo/msn/google/aim/icq) or some tools that can allow you to login to sl without the graphics (sleek - http://delta.slinked.net/programming/sleek/).

those having troubles might want to try The "Nicholaz Edition" of the Second Life Browser (http://nicholaz-beresford.blogspot.com)

When uninstalling SL it does not delete the cache folder. Uninstall SL, find the old cache folder and delete it manually, then reinstall SL. Had same problem before and this fixed it.
