On a small parcel of land, I made a sky platform at about 650 mts. When I TP there, my feet appear to be just under the surface and I am prevented from entering my house. However, if I first sit and then stand up, then my feet position are back on the surface and I have no problem entering the house - any ideas anyone?

Change your TP height by half a meter?

It's a glitch in SL right now. The work-around of sitting on something and standing again is the only decent fix. Doesn't matter what sort of TP you arrived with, it can occasionally offset you a bit lower than you should be in relation to the prims or terrain surface that you are supposedly standing on.

I had the same problem…what seems to work is simply re-setting your land mark once your feet are where they should be. I did this by having someone tp me to my skybox.

The bug is that SL uses the center of the prim instead of the outside when figuring your collision with the floor. This happens anytime you are really high, I don't know exactly how high, sit/stand fixes it.
Is this bug in jira?

From: Johan Durant The bug is that SL uses the center of the prim instead of the outside when figuring your collision with the floor. This happens anytime you are really high, I don't know exactly how high, sit/stand fixes it. It's a bit more quirky than that. If you're already on the same sim and use the landmark, everything is fine. If you tp someone else over to you, they're fine. Or that was the behaviour past August when I still cared about reporting bugs. Ancient bug, and bug reported many times over already so it's not like they don't know about it.
