Ok I can not load clothing, skins, or any attachments in the SIM I'm at. No live help? Now what? I walk over to the nextdoor sim and things run just fine. I can change clothing, skins, hair, whatever else I need to do. No one to talk to this sucks really bad. Sales are down the tubes all because there is no help.

Yes, I filled one out for region down even though it isn't exactly down but it might as well be cause no textures are loading for someone walking in or shopping for stuff. I'm sure there is no one looking at those Region down requests until tomorrow.

Sigh, this is the same reason that live help went away. People were not using the tools correctly. Region down is only to be used if the REGION IS DOWN for more then 30 minutes.

Region performance issues should still be reported via estate services (concierge) for estate owners, and by emailing support@secondlife.com for mainland Residents. It is worth making clear that we do continually monitor the grid for region performance problems and we do respond to any problems that we see, in fact the majority are fixed before they are reported to us.

I note there quoted passage from the blog offers no means for the landless to report such problems.

Yeah, it's rather annoying that we can report a sim DOWN, but what about just plain fubar'd? Seriously, I've had my home sim go nuts where all the scripts in the sim stopped working (not just mine. I mean ALL scripts) and I'm not a big enough land owner to get the nice perks of that.. so what can I do to report the sim not working very well? Call Support? Email them? *falls over laughing* Yeah, right.

Maybe they could also put a drop down that allows us to select for an unusable sim too?

I would think the landless fall under the mainland users. I guess they "live" on the streets of SL.

I called support Monday when a sim (not even the one where I own land) was totally screwed up. The Linden I spoke to went to the sim, agreed that it was totally screwed up, restarted the sim and it seemed to fix the problem.

I consider region down when it doesn't work. Otherwise what else is there to do??? Wait another few days and lose a lot more business?

What LL is going to do, is that they see your request, look at the grid, see the region is up, and toss your request away. So how exactly are you better off now?

The only thing you can do is e-mail support. Right now it is the only option that is available to us right now. I just hope they get the new system in place quickly.

Color loss
04-26-2007 00:18
Is anyone else had problems with colors not appearing. It's like the color picker no longer works. I've asked around but i seem to be the only one affected I even deleted and reloaded the game but it's no different. As for help to solve this problem caused by the new update there is none. So does anyone else Feel that after an update Linden Labs should have in game help to help solve problems like this for at least the first 24hours?

Well if they don't restart the SIM maybe someone can crash it. Nothing was/is getting done there anyways.

Well someone crashed it for me and now the Sim runs better. Textures are loading, attachments are working and now I can change clothing and skins. Shoppers will be happy. Thank you.
