Can't see object properties ???

I've been having a strange problem for the past few days - I can't see the properties of any object I don't own! If I right click on something to see who the creator is, how many prims it is, etc. it just comes up blank, unless I own the object.

Anybody else having this problem? It's really a bummer, I'm sure a couple of people have already missed out on my business because I can't see who created something if I want to buy it from them, unless I happen to be in their store.

Had that very same problem a few months back and someone on the forum pointed out that this will happen when you toggle on "Select only my objects." Toggle that back off and you'll see the information you need.

Yes, among other things. I've found that sometimes if you wait a minute it will eventually pop up - but not always. I wonder if it has something to do with the object properties setting. More likely a bug in the latest release.


And it used to work just fine for me before. I don't think it's related to any of my settings because I haven't changed them.

I haven't changed any of my settings either... but where does one find "Select only my objects?" I can check to make sure it didn't get mysteriously toggled.

I have found that many times after updates your settings will change without you doing a thing. I've come to expect it with every update, and sometimes at other random times.

You can set the "Select only my objects" toggle on the Tools menu.

Ah, right.

"Select only my objects" wasn't toggled on, but "Select only moveable objects" was. And toggling that off seems to have done the trick.

Thanks much for the help guys, but you're right, the setting seems to have just changed itself cuz I certainly didn't change that. Sheesh.
