Hello,
I am hoping someone could help me out with my group land management.
Here's what I did. After creating a group, I donated 2048 in tier to it. Next I deeded two 1024 parcels to the group. This seemed pretty straight forward so far. This is the information that I have in my group info now.
Total Contribution: 3276 Total Land Use: 2048 Land Available: 1228 My Contribution :2979
I realize there is a 10% bonus for group holdings, even so I can't figure out why the other totals are the way they are! It looks like I'm wasting 1228 in tier.
Any help in clearing up my confusion would be greatly appreciated.

Based on what you have posted here, the group you created has 1228 sq meters of land that can be used without adding more tier to the group. It is not really wasted, it is just unused. If you want to remove some tier from the group, I would remove about 1100 sqm from your donation, that should get you to just the right amount of a donation.

Making the numbers add up

Yes I didn't understand it.......
But now I do - I think that this is what has happened (but just guess work on my part)
You deeded 2048 to the group it has 2048 + 10% available
You transferred two 1024 parcels to the group but .......
on one of them you said "allocate the tier" now this might work like the group needs tier for 1024 but it gets 10% extra - so.... if I allocate 931 + 10% that gives the group its needed 1024 ---- and --- you have given 2048 + (accidently) another 931 = 2979
the group has more than it needs (which depending on your tier level may cost you more money).
To avoid this I never give my group tier except when I am transferring land (like you did for one of your 2 parcels).
Hope that makes sense - it did to me.
