When land goes on sale....

I set my parcel for sale and literally within like 5 seconds, like a guy in a suit appeared. Stood there, and vanished. A second later, a second guy in a suit appeared and vanished. Then a woman appeared, bought the parcel, and vanished...

Is there like some sort of script that detects when land goes on sale or something? That was crazy.

Some people are 'lurkers'. I am not sure on scripts, but I've sold land and seen the same thing.

What happens is, if you put a really good deal on your land (or accidentally set it to sell at 3000 instead of 30000), they come in, swoop it up and make it change hands several times, so it's harder to track who made the 1st purchse for low. The last alt buyer then buys it for a reasonable price from the middle alt, so that it looks like it was bought for a decent price upon resale.
