confusing pop question

Hey I don't know if anyone else can help me but several times last night and this morning when I attemp to teleport to certain places within SL, even land I own I get following message:
You have been logged out You can use instant messaging, read messages You can click continue or quit
(has continue or quit button)
Error message was quite long and might have more in message but I can't get exact info
The screen information about area says "unknown"
Has anyone got this and pointers how to deal with it?
This doesn't happen in every place just majority it seems today.

I've seen this only once before, I tried to TP and it kinda hung for a little while mid teleport. I assumed it was just another failed TP and would tell me that SL couldn't TP in a timely fashion, as it often does, but instead I got logged out.

If I had to guess, I'd say LL have taken a swing at trying to sort out the ongoing TP issues, this might be a side effect. All in all though, I'd say TPs have been working alot better recently though.

Beyond just logging in again I don't really have anything to suggest about sorting this problem out.

Happened to me a few times as well, all I could do was relog and that usually fixed the problem. Also try removing as many attachments as possible (huds, ao's, guns etc.) this makes tp'ing a lot easier.

It can sometimes be the result of actually completing half the function (you have left the previous location), then the region you are getting to either the server times out, becomes full or the asset server cannot deliver your inventory to the new sim server destination... at that point the system doesnt know where to place you, so it logs you out instead.

I'm leaning towards this one, because every time it happens to me, I log back in to find the destination sim is down or just came back up. Used to be, it would send you to the nearest sim or to your home, but I guess it isn't working too well in that department now.

Yeah I had it happen 4 times today. I had strange bugs like item I had made put in inventory then take out after I tped to my home I noticed parts of it changed after tping. It like the textures changed itself. I have no attachments on, no animation overides. the sim looks empty when I went to slurl map but just can't tp there. Same thing happen when I tried to go to class in SL earlier somewhere else.
Any way thanks for the response and advice. Not interested in trying to figure out the bug report system. Just wonder if anyone else is experiencing this and if there is way to cope or do a work around with it.

I know this isn't always they case, not saying it sometimes isn't the cause. I have had this happen over and over again. I then finally come in directly to that location in my start up screen and it's fine.
I think this is an sl bug or something, but I had the problem before the last update. I also was curious if it was something going on with my computer or attachments.

I have proved a theory that this maybe the case, on the basis that when I get a TP time out, I never try the same location direct again, I use a couple of locations that have never timed out on me, and use them an a stepping stone to get to the required destination. The 'safe' locations are on a class 4 servers.. I find that TPing between class 3 and 5 servers cause more problems with timing out when there are a lot of residents online.
Don't ask me why, I don't have an insight to the topography of LL server farm, it just works...
