Dear All, I wonder if i can plunder the vast knowlege available though all the experienced SL users. My SL Girlfriend and I have been searching for a few weeks to see if someone makes or designs a Tight Latex Catsuit which has the possibility of being locked or sealed onto the wearer, my Second Life Girl Friend when she waesr it. It is something along the lines of a locking Collar or Chastity Belt which when the wearer gives the authority over to another so that they can lock it. We have been looking for some time now and come up with nothing like we are after I wonder if you can help us out.
Very Best Wishes Paul & Geko

Not possible.
These locking devices require a script. You can put a script into a prim that is worn, such as those collars, but not into a piece of clothing proper.

You'll have to go semi-automatic. When the GF takes it off, she IMs you She has to RP a latex suit for that.

If the catsuit had a prim component you could lock that part of it, but its not possible with clothing. Clothes are implemented as meshes which overlay your avatar shape - in effect you're retexturing your avatar, and the mesh components are a different technology from prims.
Some really clever person "could" create a catsuit which was really a collection of particle emitters, although i suspect such could be laggy. That kind of suit could be lockable, but it would have to invent it first. I've toyed with the concept and, if done right, the results could be right spectacular.

One could be made using prims, but it'd have to be made on a per-avatar basis as it wouldn't fit well for other avatars.
It's not possible to find out what clothes an avatar is wearing via script =(

If you want to get a stealth locking effect without a collar, you can use some of the inconspicuous armbands or bracelets that SSC designs offers. No collar, but same basic commands. But you can't lock the dress, unfortunately, no.

I've seen a hood with an optional eye hole (for the not entirely immobilised I guess!) that locks onto someone and IM's the owner if taken off by the user. I guess that'll have the script you mean.

From: bilbo99 Emu I've seen a hood with an optional eye hole (for the not entirely immobilised I guess!) that locks onto someone and IM's the owner if taken off by the user. I guess that'll have the script you mean. Yes there are prim hoods like that. They work similarly to collars and bridles, with a few variations in command options.
