Optional version 1.16.0.6 ?

Logging in I see a message about optional version 1.16.0.6 ?

Anyone tried it yet?

The release notes say:
From: someone
Release Notes for Second Life 1.16.0(6) May 25, 2007
=====================================
Changes:
* Updated Korean language files

but the update available notice suggested it would improve performance and stability.

I don't want to be the first one to try it.

I have used it, it doesn't really do anything. I guess it helps if you use Korean text.

I don't trust optional updates these days, never know when LL might decide to make the sun even bigger than it is now.

The contrast between the "performance and stability" comment and the absence of any changes listed in the release notes that could improve performance and stability on my system makes me wonder what might have been changed other than Korean language support.

They don't tell us all the changes they make in the release notes, just the changes they want us to know about.

I took the plunge. I was lagging like crazy and eventually crashed which is unusual for me. The update actually appeared to help. Very little lag (a little more than my usual but not much) and I was on for over 3 hours without any noticable increase in lag. I was at a popular dance club too.

Just for what it's worth. :)

I have downloaded the Optional version. Now I wish I didn't. Having issues logging in. getting an error message that reads:
"Unable to connect to server Could not resolve domain name: userserver.agni.lindenlab.com Please check your network connection"
Obviously it's not my network connection, seeing that I am posting this. Any others out there having this same issue?

Sounds a bit like -
Patient: "Doctor! Will I be able to play the violin after the operation?"
Doctor: "Yes, of course."
Patient: "That's fantastic. I've never been able to play the violin."
