I know there is probably a simple command I'm missing, but how do I start SL more than once on a Vista machine? I tried searching for the argument text file mentioned in a post in March about this, but I can't find that file and don't even know if it's the right one. Any help is much appreciated.

Edit the shortcut that starts Second Life and add the '-multiple' switch to the Target line. This will keep SL from shutting down automatically if you try to start multiple instances. Note that the following is really one line:

"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -set SystemLanguage en-us -multiple

You also have to adjust the custom port connection in the client network preferences. Each client need to have a different number.

I have never done that, and never had a problem multi-instancing.
