Could anyone help me with this issue please - it is beginning to affect my SL experience quite badly.
I have cataracts in both eyes, this degrades my sight to the point I need to set things to a high color contrast too read them.
I am resigned to the fact the script editor creates its syntax highlighting colors on the fly, altho I have edited colors.xml to make notecards readable (bright green on black)
However I am now finding drop down dialog buttons etc (ie those produced by gadgets, poses tec) becoming unreeadable in their default blue on blue configurration.
I have managed to change the button text color but cannot find where the color of the actual button is stored to alter it.
Could anyone please tell me where I might find this, or maybe even post some XML for colors.xml to make the buttons black, with bright green writing ? I dont want pretty , just readable.
Many many thanks to anyone who can help me, as I say its ruining my day to day in SL atm not too mention causing literal headaches.

Aw Unfortunately I am not able to help with this type of thing but did you try the technical forum? Might be a better chance of someone who knows how to do this browsing there.

You can change such things as font sizes used by the Viewer in preferences, also the UID (HUD and System) windows by incresing the setting to more than the default of 1.000, taking small increments until you can read them, make them to large and they will take over your screen. Another option is to purchase a larger screen and run a higher resolution then increase those settings to make them less blurred. LCD/TFT screens are improving all the time but can't match the scaleablity of CRT's at the moment, which are selling so very low prices. Have you tried using the Accessibility functions that comes with windows? That can alter the contrast and settings for most windows programmes. You can find that in the Accessories folder in Start, Programmes, Accessories... and in the Control Panel. These is also a 'magnifier' option whereby you can zoom in on parts of the screen to see it clearer.
I hope you find a resolution.

Thanks for the reply mate Its not the size its the contrasdt between colors thats the problem unforunately, and blowing the dialogs up just makes the buttons vanish off the bottom of the screen as you mentioned lol. If you can imagine a permamnent foggy glare liejk spraying a fien mist over your monitor (dont try this at home kids !) thats the effect, with the added deight of blinding white out if anythign bright is on the screen All my windows stuff is set up in Windows High COnrast #2 scheme.= the bright green on black one. Unfortunately SL ignores that, like rather a lot of other windows programs unfortunately And oh yes, Tech would have been a much better forum lol - MODS ! Oh and didnt I say unfortunately A lot ??!
