Didnt know where to post this really. So here it is...

Today George helped fix a problem on my sim. some JERK left some malware on my property and it bogged down the whole sim.

George was quick and courteous and fixed the problem. Just wanted to say thanks!

Wow, you are very lucky LeVey! Many an avatar have spent endless hours searching for the elusive creature known as 'a helpful Linden'. Many claim they are a myth, or that they once existed but that they are now extinct. But here is the proof that we have been waiting for ladies and gentlemen, a first hand account of an encounter with a real life helpful linden. This is indeed a special day. :)

I've had Lindens help me two - three times now when the mainland SIM I have land on (Macclaine) kept crashing, and never had to wait more than 10 minutes whenever the sim needed a reboot. It used to be a daily event, but now its been stable for a nice bit - must have been some flakey hardware they replaced or something.

I have yet to encounter an unhelpful Linden, Porky. Sure, they can be busy, and no, I don't always agree with every last thing they do, but in general I can easily say that Linden Lab has the best bunch of employees of any company I've seen. In the past three years, I've witnessed them be nothing but positive, friendly, and eager to please at all times. It always surprises me when people claim otherwise.

As I see it, to imply that they're somehow normally unwilling to help, or that LeVay's experience is anything unusual, is pretty disingenuous, to say the least.

I also would like to thank this particular Linden again :) Without him, Sandbox Island would not have been up for most of the day on Friday.

Someone decided that his way of making some L was to try to hold the sim hostage. He filled it with his replicating prims and insured the lag was horrible. He kept shouting that if we paid, they would go away. If we didn't, it would crash. Well, it didn't, all thanks to George Linden.

I'd also like to thank the team working on the First Look viewer for that event too. The lag was horrible, but I could still move, bring up menus and all that. The client was trying to crash for a moment, then stablized. If I had been using the regular viewer... *shudder*

That being said, it's LOVELY to hear this, and thanx for sharing. We don't have a Bulletin Board (Notices and Well-Wishes) forum anymore due to support load.

In the meantime, I hope you also IMed George to let him know directly (most Lindens, being so involved with sundry work, don't read the forums)... I'll let him know you posted this.

Also, in the future, we Lindens do hope to have a better way to receive your thank-yous and positive feedback so we don't miss out! I've been experimenting with a message board @ the Linden Village:

Feel free to give it a go, and have a lovely day! :)
