I seem to remember several people saying that their US$ balance went into the red when tier came due for some reason before LL billed the credit card on file. Is that correct? It has happened to me for the first time today and I want to be sure I'm not at risk for losing any land.
Thanks. ![]() _____________________

I have read the same, but I've never noticed anyone come back and tell us that it did eventually get billed.
In the right-side menu on the account page, under "Linden Dollar" is a link called "Increase Your Credit". It's a weird name for it, but that's the place where you can go and add US$ to your balance. I'm not sure if that's necessary... perhaps you just have to wait, and LL will bill you soon. The problem is that I don't think they bother to contact you if your payment method suddenly fails (which is happening to a LOT of people these days). At least if you use "Increase Your Credit", you can see right away if there's a problem with your payment method. |

This happened to me last month. I fixed the problem by updating my billing info. I was able to use the same credit card I've always used. Everything seems to be in order now.

At least if you use "Increase Your Credit", you can see right away if there's a problem with your payment method. You can wait a few days if you want, but do try "Increase your credit" yourself if it stays at a negative balance. If you slip into past due (after 2-3 weeks) your account becomes suspended pending payment and if you only then figure out that LL can't charge you, that's not the best thing ![]() |

I'm having a problem because LL has an issue with my PayPal (had to switch from credit card because they switched CC verification companies to one in the UK that doesn't use the 3 digit verification code on the back of the card.). My PayPal now has an issue too. I have called LL up about it, and they will be contacting PayPal about it.
On a side note, though, I ran into a guy on Help Island Public whose account was taken over somehow (probably a password intercept) and was charged $1,600USD for lindens within a 1/2 hour period to various avatars before he could get his account back. He cancelled his CC and did all the right things; but, for the fact that he was charged for it and is in pending status...Moral of the story...not sure what the moral is. :/ _____________________

I re-entered all my credit info (same as the previous info) and it fixed it within a day. Not sure what that was all about, but a friend offered a theory that LL et al are probably wanting to catch all your info again for some unkown reason to us. Maybe something to do with the new verification thing pending. I dunno.. Was a bit of a pain having to redo it, but it did fix it ![]() _____________________

In all three cases we just sold enough $L to cover the balance, and never re-entered the billing info at all. I don't think it's been a problem since then, although I'm gonna do double-check now. _____________________

Thanks for all of the replies everyone. I am going to just hold tight tonight, but if it doesn't resolve itself pretty quick tomorrow I will take some of the actions you all suggested. (I did check the Increase my credit thing and everything seems fine there.)
I'll post what happens for the record. ![]() _____________________
