It's been an issue since at least Tuesday for me, I used to own some of the items but now I apparently don't. It's better than it was but still a big problem, an hour ago I had two such prims, now I have eight.

And now a word from our sponsor:

The ghost prim / 0,0,0 bug uses up your prim allowance with invisible "selected/sat upon" items and causes permanent loss of no-copy items. Items may be visible at the region's 0,0,0 point, and non-phantom items can seem solid (though invisible) at the original location. In most cases a sim restart is required to remove the ghost prims, but there is no way to get no-copy items back.

If this has affected you, vote on JIRA to get it fixed:
https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/SVC-242

(The entry title specifies "copy" items, but this entry now applies to "no-copy" items too.)

It's part of the asset server problems. We've had to reboot our sim many times in the past few days, because any time anybody deletes anything it leaves behind a ghost.

These Lindens are really something else.

Sim restart is a very temporary fix. They'll be back unless the core problem is solved.

Had the same problem, and the region restart does seem to do the trick. Once the Support Portal was back up, I submitted a ticket... and your mileage may vary, but they addressed it in 2 minutes after submission!

Thanks Data Linden. :-)

That said... they need to find and resolve the root of this problem... restarting the sim is just a band-aid solution.

Unfortunately a region restart won't get you the item back if it was non-copy. It's gone for good.

Did the restart also cure the cross eyes? Did you also experience a hiccup effect with that too?
