Who does she think I am? Avatars

A conversation in the vein of Regan's alt avatar takeover thread:

When we real-lifers refer to our Second Life alter-egos, we call them avatars when we are talking amongst ourselves about them. Well then, what do our avatars call us when they are talking amongst themselves about us?! I hope it is something nice. Has anyone managed to eavesdrop on a gathering of avatars when they think we aren't listening? What do they say about us?

I thought I was on here as an SL-er. I call my link to RL my 'RL agent', my 'RL-er' or sometimes my 'Reller'.

The term "Player" or "Player God" seems to work well.

Heard mine last week. He called me sexy which for me was rather scary although my daughter who prefers the company of Ladies might enjoy it.

Then again perhaps I was lucky. I do look sexy both in RL and SL so no problem there. Some I have seen might of course not hear the same as me!

Last night my gf was typing but we could not see what she was saying. I wonder if that was a glitch or perhaps our Avatars were talking about us. Hmmm.

Wow. I was thinking of posting just such a question myself. I had been thinking of calling him my Sponsor. Patron also crossed my mind.

I overhead a conversation once. They say that we need to get off the computer and go outside a little more often.

My avatar is always trying to put me down. She says things like "my hair is better than yours, my abs are flat, my skin is perfect, I'm popular", etc.

Then I say her I don't need to type when having sex. It usually makes her shut up for a while.

I had some arrogant fool in rl who thought she controlled me, but she is no more... so I don't need to find a name for her.

I am often outside. Yesterday I finished the new home for my Tenant and just before the grid was closed I was looking over some new land I have trying to decide how to Landscape it.

Am I doing something wrong?

She sits at a desk all day long; I get to make clothes and explore amazing places.
She needs to see the sun; I have a beautiful tan.
She could probably work out more; I don't need to.

If I were her, I'd give up and become me. On the other hand, her dogs kick ass...and she gets to have real sex, and eat real food. Hmmm... maybe we can trade off?

Somehow reading this thread I am wondering if some have the impression that there is some strange separation between us and our avatars? Not sure I get it.

still don't get it. I'm going to manage the prim count in my kids rooms (my 7 year old keeps going over...rezzing Bionicles and Hot Wheels and such going over his limit). When I return I expect you all to come to your senses.

Real Life??? Isn't that a cool online virtual reality game? I've got an avatar in it. And like Oryx's avatar, she camps in an office all day to earn dollars. I've heard some other avatars claim that camping to earn dollars (the monetary unit of that game) to be wrong. But what can i say... she needs them to buy stuff in that game.

I love the camping animation though... it looks like she is clicking away at a computer keyboard. And the textures are amazing. They use such ultra high rez textures that i can actually see the spreadsheet on my avatar's computer screen.

I know it's silly because she's just a collection of pixels, but i sometimes wonder what my Real Life avatar thinks of me.
