Here is my advice for perfect auction transactions:

1- Call your bank in advance to tell them that you will be charging a lot of money on an auction over the internet. Give them the name of Second Life or LL or Linden Research. This way their fraud unit is prepared in case you win the auction. They are also prepared if your bid goes on your card somehow.

2- Do not assume anything.

3- Once you pay, make sure LL gets the money and that the bank charged you properly.

4- KEEP ALL OF YOUR RECORDS. Keep detailed notes of all transactions and phone conversations.

5- Once again, assume nothing at all.
