AV downloading problem

Last night I tried to take off a shirt my AV was wearing and replace it with another. Neither command seemed to work so I tried his pants.... and suddenly he was naked.
I went offfline and back in.. Got a message saying:

"Your clothing is still downloading"

.... and a naked AV. When i tried to put clothing on him i got the message:

"Can't change appearance until clothing and shape are loaded"

I tried right clickin on him and doing appearance.. nothing happened. I tied rebaking textures.. no effect.

Funny thing is that I can load objects onto him.. hair, shoes, etc.. just not clothes, shapes, skins.

Any ideas?

Don't smack me for suggesting the obvious: clear cache and re-log. Rinse and repeat.

I have a slow computer and get a lot of lag, so the whole putting on and taking off clothes thing is pretty haphazard for me. I get that a lot, where I take off something, but don't actually see it change until I make another change. I also frequently get the "loading clothes" message at logon, but there's only been one time that they didn't show up within a minute or so.

Have you cleared cache and re-logged already, and it's still doing it?

No smacking at all. Sometimes the obvious is staring you right in the face and you don't see it. I tried clear cache last night and relogged.... didnt' solve the problem. Thanks for responding!
