Line Breaks when Copy and Pasting

Im using RLV and I was wondering if there is an option somewhere in SL to linebreak text that is separated in chat. It gets annoying when I copy and paste something large and it comes out as one big paragraph instead of lines.

If you are talking about pasting into an IM or Chat window, then as far as I know, the only way to get a line break is manually putting them in or having whatever you are saying be controlled by a gesture that does chat.

If your viewer is based on a new enough LL version (1.21 I think?) you should see pilcrow symbols ¶ when you paste text with line breaks in it. At one point I think this might have worked in the communicate window but not in the bottom chat bar. If you can see those, your pasted text should have the line breaks preserved (but they will still be sent as a single chat message).

OK, I just tried that on the Cool Viewer version based on 1.21.6 (Mac build, but that might not matter for this). It worked there, and Cool Viewer does include the RLV patches. Maybe give that viewer a whirl?

Wow - I never even knew that this now worked. It did not used to so I just gave up ever trying to paste multiple lines.

Yeah, it was one of those quiet little changes buried in a long list of other stuff, probably only documented in release notes.
