I got a FreeView bigscreen TV in one of those freebie boxes. Their website is here, the entire program is free: http://www.slguide.com

Because I am a newb, I am having difficuly understanding how to set it up in my condo, owned by Skye Condos. The FreeView instuctions are here: http://www.slguide.com/help/#setupgroup

I have the remote configured. For the main TV I successfully did steps 1 & 2 but cannot understand how to "set affiliation" and then to "deed" the object. I set it to "share with group" but it does not say anything about "affiliation" and the "DEED" button stays greyed out.

Is there anyone who knows this program or similar things and can help me?

you have to make sure the grp is set to the appropriate group when you put it out that makes things much easier

then share with group then deed to group

some rental areas you have to the landlord set it out im not sure about sky condos area

Why don't you contact your land lord?

I already have it set to "share" with the correct group (Skye Condos Enterprises)

but the DEED button stays grey and there is nothing that mentions "affiliation" like the instructions say for step 3 (in between "sharing" and "deeding";)

What exactly does "set the affiliation" mean, AFTER the object is already "shared"? =/

I am going to try that, they are not on right now and I was hoping it was something very simple like "Go to X and click Z". But I will try the landlord next if no one knows the answer, thanks!

Thank you. Unfortunately that url takes me right back to the same page I listed myself in my original post.

Turns out I did need the landlord to set some setting on his end. I was afraid he'd be peeved about getting dragged out for yet-another-noobie issue on my low-cost budget flat, but he wasn't cranky at all about it and even brought me a popcorn popper to go with my black and white Bobe Hope/Bing Crosby movies.

Why can't real-life landlords be this great? =)
