Michi asked when scripts would be turned back on in SL Answers, saying her boxes wouldn't work, etc.
Does this mean people are buying my things and NOT GETTING THEM?
If so, that's something I really do need to know!
Or does this mean something else?
Someone, please explain what it means.

I think scripts were off a while ago, but they are on now. They did it to help slow the grid attack.

coco Try resetting your scripts, that tends to make things work. Scripts should be back on by now, I would think.

Oh dear - I hope nobody bought something and didn't get it. I find that newer residents aren't inclined to message me about things like that. I keep an eye on the sales, and notice people buying two of things fairly often, probably because the things don't appear in their inventory fast enough, or maybe sometimes because they took them out of their inventory and lost them or whatever. (They're copy/mod.) But I always just send them a note and their money back, because I have not yet even ONE TIME had a player ask for their money back for the second purchase. I think easier than resetting all the scripts would be going on as an alt and test buying everything (everywhere), or maybe just sampling here and there? coco

As long as you aren't affected, everything is a-okay. I haven't heard about anyone having any problems. If the scripts were stopped just temp it would be like trying to use something in a lot with the scripting turned off. It wouldn't affect the actual objects. Once you take that object to another lot, it works fine. And if the scripts were turned off, no one would have been able to "buy" anything which means no one wouldn't be able to give you money. So you are in the clear. From: Cocoanut Cookie Oh dear - I hope nobody bought something and didn't get it. I find that newer residents aren't inclined to message me about things like that. If you have SLExchange or SLBoutique boxes, my guess is that you will have to reset the scripts, I usually have to, at least I did after the last fiasco when they turned scripting off. .

OK, well that's good to know. I'll stop worrying.
And the SLExchange and SLBoutique boxes are easy to reset.

From: Dennie Bliss And if the scripts were turned off, no one would have been able to "buy" anything which means no one wouldn't be able to give you money. Michi's post seems to indicate otherwise: From: Michi Lumin Lusk is still set to noscript... and I do have to say it's putting the hurt on us. (None of our av vendors work, and people have been paying into them and receiving nothing. I had to put big boxes over them saying 'out of order until Linden allows scripts again') In any case, Coco, it sounds like the issue with Lusk's scripts still being off may have been an isolated incident since (going by the blog) scripts were only shut off grid-wide for less than an hour yesterday, and no one else seems to have mentioned such a problem here after that time.

OK, so Luskwood is sort of a special case there. I will wait till later to get on with an alt and make sure my things are still working.
Thanks, everyone!

Yes, Luskwood was a special case. (Not that I like us being a special case in such a situation.)
Our scripts were still off until about (I believe) 2PM PST/Linden Time today (Sept.19).
I'm not sure why, but this was long after most of the grid got their script capabilities back.
I believe it was related to us being so close to Ahern ("wall" of noscript sims to contain potential objects eminating from Ahern) or the fact that the owners of one of the objects had an old plot in Lusk which may have been hosting the objects.
The above is just speculation though. I don't really know why it wasn't turned back on.
