Help! I'm being stalked and just can't shake them! I would like to change my av name and profile without losing everything I own including the av I created. I'm a paid acct with about 8000L$ in my in world acct. Is there a way to do this without losing everything?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: Maybe. It'll take a support request to LL. Explain the situation. I'd also pick out an available name and ask for it.
If LL won't help, there are other approaches to dealing with stalkers. We've talked about some of them at length in these forums. Try a search on "stalker".

You have to create a totally new account, new name, new inventory AKA an Alt. you will be able to transfer money and all transferrable items in your inventory. The No Trans stuff you will lose.

I would just mute them, and ban them from your land. If you live on estate (Island) land, have your estate owner/manager ban them from the estate. Check your land for mystery objects not owned by you (possible tracking devices). If they ever gave you anything, delete it. They could come back with an alt, if that happens, repeat as needed.

I agree with Darien. Try to use the inworld tools to get rid of this loser. You can mute, ban, tell your friends, etc etc. If your stalker is really bad, consider reporting him to LL if his activities fall within the unacceptable range in the Community Standards or Terms of Service. Otherwise, just ignore him. Life goes on and a name change isn't a true solution.

Lissa, don't give in too easily. Try following the advice posted here. If that doesn't work, well...........
<<looks cautiously over his shoulder then whispers,
Send me an IM in world with the stalkers name. I have a friend who knows someone that knows these guys who would love to talk to this stalker. They can be very persuasive, or so I have heard.
<<nod, nod, wink, wink.
