Problem accepting notecard

In a sim owned by one of my groups I clicked on the various notecard givers for information about the group and the sim and its attractions and rules. Nothing happened. I tried right click, left click, and selecting "Touch" from the pie menu. Nada. I mentioned it to a couple of people standing nearby and they told me they had had no problem. One of them gave me the various notecards.

I then read my chat history and it said I had declined the notecard from "Object", but I had seen no option to accept or decline. I tried clicking again and watched chat. There was no blue box but according to chat I had declined.

I've tried clicking on notecard givers in various other places and get the notecard with no problem so it can't be my settings. I haven't muted "Object" that I can see, but maybe I'm not looking in the right place. I looked in Chat history where there's a list of muted avs and objects (I haven't muted any).


BTW - I uploaded a pic to use as an av on this site but it's not showing up? Am I doing sonething wrong here too?

I noticed a new option in my preferences regarding notecards and whether you want to accept them or not. I forget what tab it was under but I think it was the last preference category. Check it out.

Thanks, Raymond. I've got Automatically Accept unchecked so I checked it so see what would happen and it made no difference. Besides, I'm able to get notecards from every other notecard giver I've tried - including those a few meters away from the one I apparently reject.

If I've muted "Object" by mistake, how do I unmute it? It's not showing as muted in Chat History.

Hi WoodBee, not in-world so stabbing at it but two suggestions:
I believe you should have a mute list. You may have to 'mute' soembody to bring it up if I recall but you should see all of the sources you have muted then.
The other thing is I think if you click on the notecard giver's line in history you could have an unmute option.

The notecard giver is misbehaving LOL I found one once (Id' forgotten) that spammed me with cards whenever I got close. I IM-ed the owner and he reset it thanking me for drawing his attention to it

Thank youbilbo99. I muted my friend and in the mute list I saw "object" muted - 3 times!. Unmuted everything and the notecards are flying at me.
