Security System Question(s)

People have an unfortunate habit of inviting themselves into my home, even when the doors are locked, so I bought this security system and set it at a distance just surrounding the house. I'd like to use the eject (to another part of the sim), rather than the tp home function, but the island I live on is no push and I'm not sure if there's a difference in the way push and eject work. Some other facts: the island is listed as group-owned and I'm an officer in said group, with the ability to manage general access and ban lists, as well as to eject people altogether. I don't know if any of that makes a difference, but I was hoping someone here might know if I can use the eject function under these circumstances, especially since the no push icon specifies that the land owner(s) can push. Does that mean the entire group, or just the person who actually paid for the land?

Anyway, my goal here is not to catapult explorers off the island, I just don't want them popping into my house uninvited.

Thanks!

I too use a Lock Tite system (15 second warning) and one of my daughters uses one as well (30 second warning). The wife and I are on and private isle...she's on the mainland, and the system works perfectly in both cases. What you want to do is simply rezz the item, and deed it to the group that owns the land you're using it on. Push enabled or disabled, the Eject function works like a mini teleport, Teleporting intruders off the parcel and X number of meters into the air (about 20 I think). I'm in world now if you need any help setting it up.

Eject is different from push.
You can eject on land that your group owns, so long as you have the right role in the group options (or are an owner of the group).
Security devices need to be deeded to group in order to use eject and/or TP home on group-owned land. To do this, check "share with group", then click "deed", then uncheck "share with group".

As to no push, IIRC the rules for no push are :
1) if the land is owned by an avatar, that avatar's object can push on the land
2) if the land is owned by a group, any attachment attached WHILE the avatar's active group matches the land group can push. Any rezzed object which is set to the land owning group can also push.

These might be inaccurate however.

Good luck regardless :)
