On/Off World Intercommunication
I like the fact that I can carry on a conversation with someone In World from Email - although I have to first be IMed from someone In World to do this.. Is there a way I can actually initiate an email message to someone In World?
I would certainly find this useful - there are times I need to send my partner a message while I am not In World (he usually is). He would see that quicker than me just sending him a regular email.

The Email-2-IM Cube on slexchange might be the answer to your problem. It's here. There are other similar gizmos - just input Email in Search at the site.
